My New Problem

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure but i think that it isn't necessary if you have disconnect the hard drive disc and the another module, the wii does not boot ...

Dear nzo, look at bushing say :

"If you power on the Wii, even if nothing appears on the screen, the Starlet will still start up and write to your NAND flash. It does this every few minutes. If this ever happens while you’re trying to read or write to the flash chip, your dump is toast, and the contents of the flash may be corrupted. It is NOT enough to just remote the BT or Wifi modules to keep the thing from booting"

if it not Data0~GND. plz tell me where to connection it?

Hi,

As Maitre Kanter told you, it's the D0 trick.

This trick is intended to avoid data changes in the nand during the read process.

The mail goal of this trick is to rise an error in the very first steps of the boot process.

You do not need this trick if your wii is full bricked.

I thought this thread had been deleted. Because I could not find this thread.

Until someone told me that my thread has been moved to here. ;)

Thank everyone for the reply

: omg:

Nous remercions tous pour la réponse

are your weldings good ?

yes. My weldings is good. Every time I will using the multimater to check my soldering good or bad.

Oui.

it's the D0 trick..if you short D0 to ground when boot0 try to load boot1, it fail and stop....you have to do this to have correct dump.

So you have to short D0 to ground with switch or push button, hold it and press power, when the led turn green, release push button.

OK, If it's a D0 trick, I think I must skip it. Because I have never succeeded. As far as I know. In addition to bushing, no one had succeeded. Also in my last test, I did not use D0 trick, but also the success of flash bootmii.

Hi,

OK, Last time I did not using the D0 trick and I successfully flash the bootmii.

So I think I do not need the D0 trick.

But until yesterday I still can not to solve the "block is different" problem.

When I dump out the block1 ~ 7 data then verify it, it is correct.

When I erase the block1~7 and erase veriry. and compare again the block1~7 data, it will become a "block is different"

I have tried to replace the "WE" into shorter wrie or longer wrie.

I have tried to remove the 5V Wrie.

I have tried to desoldering the nand flash, and soleing on a PCB

but it still not changed.

mais c'est toujours pas changé.

Hi,

I thing it's just due to the way you are using the software.

If you enter "start bloc=1" and "end bloc"=7, and then clic read

and save the data into a file, you will save seven blocs.

If you enter "start bloc=3" and "end bloc"=4, and then clic compare

using the previous file, the software will consider that the first bloc

in the data file correspond to the bloc 0 of the nand.

The "relative mode" check box changes the way the software works.

If you check it, the software will consider that the first bloc in the data file

correspond to the bloc written in "start bloc" field of the nand.

I know it's quite confusing.

I suggest you:

- "start bloc"=0, "end bloc"=10, read the data in a file

You can also check the "ECC" checkbox, the software will verify all the ECC data,

it's a very good way to check that the data is consistent

- "start bloc"=0, "end bloc"=10, compate to the data in a file

- "start bloc"=3, "end bloc"=4, compate to the data in a file

When it's done, tell me the results.

Regards
